Taking Time Out

As I drive around my home town of Bathurst NSW Australia today, I am seeing visitors everywhere coming into town for our Annual big car race, “The Bathurst 1000”. The town is a buzz with excitement and more and more people are rolling in every hour. There are extra cars, campervans, camper trailers and caravans everywhere. It got me thinking about my camping experiences and why I love them so much. I think the reason why I feel so free when I get in my caravan and head on a road trip is that it breaks the routine. It gives me a chance to experience somewhere different, somewhere new, meet new people and see new things. It really helps you to live in the present moment because you are not worry about all the “I really should be doing this or doing that’s” that we spend so much of our time thinking about. The house work is reduced to the absolute basics of cooking a meal and cleaning up after that meal, the big jobs don’t need to be done so often and things don’t seem to get as messy because most of the time is spend visiting places or sitting outside by the river or the camp fire. The fresh air and the relaxation time in nature helps to lift your vibration and you really can take the time out just to be you and take a few extra long deep breaths in and out. I love getting away from the day to day routine. It really is worth doing and I am hoping to get away in the caravan more often this spring and summer as the weather starts to warm up and the daylight hours starts to be getting longer and longer. Take a trip and make sure to take a look at the stars away from the lights of the big cities. It is truly something to be amazed about.
